• 1983 – Commenced insurance career at AMP Fire & General Insurance
• 1986 – 2022 – worked across multiple loss adjusting firms, including T J Sinclair & Associates, McLarens, Crawford & Co, Treloar & Co and ANA
• 2022 – Joined YDR as National Commercial Manager
• 2023 – Became YDR’s State Manager, New South Wales & ACT

Brian commenced his career in 1983 with what was then the AMP Fire & General Insurance Company Limited, before commencing his Loss Adjusting career in 1986 when he joined boutique Chartered Loss Adjusters T J Sinclair & Associates. Over the ensuing years he has worked with a variety of firms throughout Australia including a brief deployment to Thailand. Brian specialises in Commercial Property claims including major loss and is well known in the NSW and broader Australian market. He has operated his own Loss Adjusting firm which he grew to a sizable company over a 10-year period.

Brian has considerable Insurance Management experience and has worked in roles including Business Development Manager, Account Manager, State Manager and General Manager for various firms. 

Academically Brian received an award for equal first place in Insurance Exams for the Diploma of General Insurance with what was then the Australian Insurance Institute. He is a Chartered Loss Adjuster by professional designation and is both a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (UK). He has studied Commerce at Deakin University and successfully completed the Insurance major, as well as holding a Diploma of Financial Services.

Brian has served on the NSW Division Council of AICLA twice, including as Division Chairman in 2005-2006.
